Meals
Our school meals service is run by Olive Dining with whom we work closely to ensure we offer the highest quality meals and service.
Children are offered a three week menu cycle, which is always comprised of our children’s favourite meals and some new dishes. The menu changes on a half yearly basis and, where possible, tries to incorporate seasonal produce. The menus are rigorously checked by dieticians at Olive Dining to ensure they are nutritionally balanced across the week. Each day, there are two hot meal options (one of which is always vegetarian), accompanying vegetables, salad and desserts, including fresh fruit.
Younger children can also select a sandwich, jacket Potato or tomato pasta option, instead of a hot meal, while older children can also request a daily choice of pasta, sandwiches or a jacket potato. Children are also able to bring in a packed lunch from home; please contact the school office for more details on meal arrangements. We encourage children to eat healthily and request that packed lunches contain food that is healthy and will help sustain children during the day. Packed lunch should not include fizzy drinks, sweets or nuts – we are a nut free school.
Universal Infant Free School Meals
All children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to ‘Universal Infant Free School Meals’.
Free School Meals
Some families are also entitled to free school meals when their child is in KS2 (Years 3-6). To check if you qualify for free school meals for your child, please see the government’s website for further information about eligibility and how to apply.
