School Meals

Children in Year 5 and 6 will continue to have baguettes and jacket potatoes available daily. The children in Year 5 and 6 can order their baguettes on a Monday morning in class. In line with legislation, a portion of fruit is a part of all puddings. A choice of two  fresh vegetables is also available with every meal, click below to see the menus

School meals are paid for using ParentPay (more information from the school office). The cost of a meal is £2.15 and any amount can be credited to your child's ParentPay account (min. £6.45).  As long as the account is in credit you can choose when your child has a school meal.  Please note that school meals cannot be given on credit, click below to view the School Meals Debt Policy.

In this area of the website you will find current information about the school meals service that we offer at Ridgeway Primary School and Nursery. Our school meals service is run by Chartwells with whom we work closely to ensure we offer the highest quality service. We offer a three week menu cycle where we consulted with the children about their firm favourites and also added some new dishes.  Please see 'Latest News' on the school website to see which week we are currently in. The menus have been checked to ensure they are nutritionally balanced. There are also additional salad choices available to the children each day.

Order forms will only be required if your child would like a sandwich on a particular day otherwise they will be able to choose from the choices of the day when they go up for lunch.  If your child is having a hot meal everyday the order form does not need to be completed. The children will be asked on a Monday if they are having school lunch or home packed lunch for the week and order forms for sandwiches should be put in the class box or emailed into the school office by 9.30 on a Monday morning.
